Maple Apple Pie
Ingredients
1 cup Sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
Pre-made Pastry Sheet Pie Crust
8 medium-sized apples; peeled and thinly sliced
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
3 tablespoons of Boxler’s Organic Maple Syrup; Dark
1 tablespoon of butter
Directions
In a small bowl combine the first 5 ingredients
In a large bowl toss the apples with lemon juice and Boxler Maple Syrup
Add sugar mixture to the apples in the large bowl
Unroll pre-made pastry pie crust onto 9in pie plate
Add filling
Dot the filling with small pieces of butter
Place second crust over the filling
Brush pastry with Maple Syrup (optional)
Bake at 425º for 45-60 minutes or until crust is golden brown
